What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, Strategic Sourcing Operations position at Interpublic Group?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Analyst, Strategic Sourcing Operations supports the IPG’s current Preferred Vendor Management program inclusive of third-party preferred vendors and IPG agency offerings (Intercompany).
The role will support ensuring the program is current and active, and inclusive of emerging offerings including certified diverse and sustainable preferred vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assisting with the onboarding of new vendors and ensuring adherence of all policies and procedures
- Analyze supplier spend data and identify opportunities for realistic strategic sourcing opportunities
- Developing reports to analyze preferred offerings performance metrics on a quarterly basis
- Collaborate and build relationships with IPG stakeholders and agency stakeholders
- Working collaboratively across the various agencies to gather requirements for any specific intercompany offerings
- Create the process for advertising and promoting all preferred offerings to key stakeholders throughout the network
- Managing preferred offering relationships
- Ensuring all preferred offerings are up to date with most current information
- Assisting with managing special projects as assigned
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in strategic sourcing and procurement
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management, and/or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Ariba/Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements
NYC SALARY RANGE:
The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $88,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
