About the Role:
We are seeking a customer-focused and tech-savvy individual to join our Epic Support Team as a Help Desk Representative. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for clinical and administrative staff needing assistance with the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the healthcare IT field and grow into more advanced Epic or IT roles.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to calls, chats, and emails from healthcare providers and staff regarding Epic system issues.
- Provide Tier 1 troubleshooting, including login support, password resets, and workflow guidance.
- Log incidents and service requests accurately using a ticketing system.
- Use scripts and knowledge articles to assist with common Epic workflows (e.g., charting, documentation, scheduling).
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Tier 2 support or Epic analysts.
- Maintain professionalism, empathy, and efficiency during each interaction.
- Stay informed about Epic system updates and organizational changes in workflow.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- IT help desk for Epic EMR based client.
- Strong communication skills and a calm, patient demeanor under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Familiarity with Epic software is a plus but not required (training provided).
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting Epic EHR systems.
- Epic credentials (e.g., Epic Proficiency Badge).
