We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is instrumental in maintaining and improving our quality standards by overseeing quality surveys, managing document control, compiling and analyzing management review data, qualifying vendors, maintaining the approved vendor list, driving corrective and preventive actions and will require travel between our 9 locations ensuring compliance. The Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, enhance processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

- Quality Surveys:
- Responsibility to complete and respond to all incoming customer quality survey requests.
- Analyze surveys to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable recommendations to enhance overall quality standards.
- Document Control:
- Manage the creation, revision, and storage of quality documentation.
- Ensure document control processes comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Conduct periodic reviews to maintain accuracy and relevancy.
- Management Review Data:
- Gather, compile, and analyze data for management review meetings.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing quality performance metrics, trends, and improvement plans.
- Collaborate with leadership to define objectives and track progress against quality goals.
- Vendor Qualification:
- Assess and qualify vendors based on quality, compliance, and performance criteria.
- Perform vendor audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance.
- Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA):
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
- Monitor the effectiveness of CAPA plans to ensure resolution of non-conformances.
- Maintain records of CAPA activities and ensure timely closure of actions.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure adherence to standards such as ISO 9001 or equivalent.
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and guidelines.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality-related processes and standards.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance product and service quality.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to implement improvement initiatives.
- Track the effectiveness of implemented changes and drive continuous improvement.
- Customer Focus:
- Address customer complaints and feedback by conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure customer requirements and expectations are met or exceeded through robust quality systems.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma, or Lean) are a plus.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, and RCA.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with vendor management and audit processes.
- Results-driven and focused on achieving high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams, departments and locations.
