Perform accounting and financial analysis across a complex operational environment. This position is non-routine in nature, requiring entry-level professional experience, knowledge and competency in accounting principles, practices and analysis. Reports to Sr. Technical Accountant. Job Components: Prepare Cash, Fixed Asset, COS, Gross Profit reconciliations; analyzeAnalyze and prepare reports using numerous subsystems such as subsidy, NAC, Certificates, Cash, Accounts Receivable, Notes Receivable, Other Assets and Inventory. – 25% Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule. This includes providing financial analysis and support for monthly, quarterly, and yearly (audited) financials and preparation of yearly audit schedules. – 40% Assist in the preparation of monthly account reconciliations, under the supervision of Staff Accountants. – 20% Provide support and direction for other departments to ensure information is properly recorded in the General Ledger. This would include support of the Payroll Department and the administration of accounting associated with the ED-18 Distributor lease and National Account lease/purchase programs. This would include areas such as lease accounting and intercompany eliminations. -15% *Some tasks above may be the sole responsibility of only one Accounting Intern. Qualifications: Actively pursuing Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, at 4-year accredited university Interest in earning a Professional certification such as a CPA and CMA preferred Completion of Intermediate Accounting coursework related to degree program Minimum GPA of 3.0, or equivalent. Strong analytical and problem -solving skills Knowledge of fundamentals of consolidation; Cost Accounting knowledge is helpful Understanding of business law, technical guidance, statistics, and general management as related to accounting Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills Effective Time Management skills and strong attention to detail Ability to interface effectively with various levels within the organization Proficient in the utilization of MS products (Excel, Word, and Outlook) Ability to multi-task and complete projects within specific deadlines Must have lodging in the Dallas area from June 3rd through August 9th Scope Data: Work independently with minimal supervision Work as designated by external audit staff Interfaces with other IBSA functional departments Work Environment: Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods of time. Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, and talk and hear Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 15 lbs. during archival of data annually.
