Purpose of Job:
The Manager, Commercialization will oversee project management and strategic execution, coordinating team members across Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations to support the commercialization of batteries for our National Account and Local Dealer customers. They will also improve processes and provide practical recommendations to support faster time-to-market and precise product delivery. Additionally, they will provide strategic input and manage the broader Commercial calendar, to execute on Commercial growth goals.
Job Components:
Support Project Delivery for Large Initiatives
- Manage large scale, highly visible commercialization projects that require problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and project management execution. (1) New Business Onboarding 2) National Account Customer and Segment growth, 3) New Chemistry Launches (e.g., AGM, EFB, Lithium-Ion).
- Lead cross-functional partners (e.g., Product Development, Customer Activation, Procurement and Sales) to support go-to-market plans by brand and customer, portfolio strategies, and product changes.
- Maintain the enterprise Commercial Calendar, including calendar build with strategic and sales/growth focused mindset and execution of major process steps throughout the fiscal year.
- Develop and maintain KPIs that measure the effectiveness and timeliness of the process and leverage WorkFront reporting for ongoing continuous improvement.
- Responsible for managing delivery timelines, documenting process updates, and communicating workflow updates to maintain consistent execution.
- Manage the ongoing development and execution of an end-to-end commercialization process across multiple portfolio enhancement scenarios – including new product launches, strategic assortment changes, product updates, and product discontinuations.
- Serve as subject matter expert on commercialization processes.
Team and Cross-Functional Development
- Coach direct reports and cross-functional team members on delivering commercialization projects based on strategic needs of customers, suppliers, and distributors.
- Coach direct reports and cross-functional team members on identifying short-term and long-term solutions to ad-hoc commercialization requests to support sales growth.
- Coach direct reports and cross-functional team members on producing goals for enterprise unit growth through implementation and execution of annual strategy build across categories, brands, channels, and customers.
- Identify, communicate, and lead enhancements for commercialization processes to accelerate time-to-market (e.g. new product launch, etc.).
- Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Economics required.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Commercialization, Sales Growth/Support, Management Consulting and/or Project Management positions.
- Commercial planning/strategy and/or business planning experience preferred.
- People leadership experience preferred, track record of project management delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and team development.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent oral/ written communication skills, and comfort with working under project-based deadlines.

Work Environment:
