Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct spatial data analysis and create high-quality maps and visualizations.
- Develop, test, and maintain GIS applications, scripts, and tools using programming languages such as Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
- Manage and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide GIS support for various projects and initiatives.
- Perform geoprocessing tasks, including data conversion, spatial analysis, and data integration.
- Create and maintain documentation for GIS processes, applications, and tools.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on GIS software and applications.
- Stay current with emerging GIS technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Computer Science, Geospatial Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS analysis and application development.
- Proficiency in GIS software, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and other related tools.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
- Experience with GIS web development using frameworks such as Leaflet, OpenLayers, or Esri's ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
- Knowledge of spatial databases and data management techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud-based GIS solutions and services.
- Experience with ESRI products including ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Familiarity with remote sensing technologies and applications.
- Professional certifications, such as Esri Technical Certification or GISP (GIS Certification Institute).
