Overview:

.Interstate Rock is looking for a Ready Mix Operations Manager to oversee the daily workflow of concrete mixer drivers, Quality Control, dispatch, and plant operations personnel. This role will also involve integrating new plants and driving growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate dispatch operations, including planning the number of trucks needed, and scheduling mixer drivers, production personnel, and material truck drivers.
• Collaborate with the Logistics Supervisor for timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials, including cement trains.
• Responsible for manufacturing and distributing ready-mixed concrete, overseeing plant operations and maintenance, ensuring safety at the plants, managing the general condition of ready-mix trucks, coordinating truck maintenance, and directing the coordination of ready-mix trucks.
• Ensure proper plant housekeeping and adhere to environmental and safety policies in accordance with Company, State, and Local regulations.
• Collaborate with management to create monthly and yearly budgets. Establish goals and metrics to track progress towards these goals.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control and Dispatch Manager to enhance quality, optimize processes, and improve customer service.
• Implement and support the company's Safety Program by coordinating with the Safety Director and other management personnel to ensure zero lost time accidents.
• Oversee plant operations to ensure alignment with company goals and efficiency standards for both facilities and trucks. Provide preventative maintenance and repair equipment as necessary.
• Lead all personnel and foster an efficient and economical team approach for the company.
• Assist in managing the maintenance of mixers and trucks by coordinating with the relevant departments.
• Develop and implement training programs for all personnel in collaboration with other Plant Managers.
• Engagement in industry associations and active participation in community affairs.
• Involvement in Driver Training Program.
• Assurance that customers receive timely service and address complaints promptly.

Requirements:

• Ready Mix Concrete industry operations management experience is required.
• The ability to lead all employees professionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with proficient computer skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Must have the ability to work with customers, suppliers, and employees.
• Valid driver’s license.
