Job Overview
As a Roll-Off Truck Driver at Interstate Waste Services, you will embark on a dynamic journey through Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, and beyond. Compensation Package
We offer an attractive starting rate of $25.47/hour, with opportunities for growth and a pay increase to $29.97/hour after 12 months. Plus, enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, to support your well-being and career development.
Daily Responsibilities
Your day will begin early, as you safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks to collect waste and recyclable materials from designated areas. You will transport the collected materials to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities, often making multiple trips throughout your shift. Other duties may include:
- Safely navigating through congested communities and confined areas
- Performing pre- and post-inspections to ensure compliance with IWS safety standards, OSHA regulations, and local traffic laws
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A valid Class A or B CDL
- A clean MVR and great safety record
- 1-year CDL driving experience within the last 7 years
- Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations
- The ability to speak and read English fluently
