Project Estimator Intern
We are seeking a Project Estimator Intern to join our Estimating Team in Sioux Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating electrical industrial automation projects, collaborating with internal team members, and building strong relationships with clients and vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze bid specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare estimates.
- Consult with clients and vendors to gather information for estimates.
- Develop detailed scope of work for proposal documents.
- Build complete estimates of project costs using pricing tools.
- Communicate effectively with the internal team concerning estimates.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Instrumentation, SCADA, PLC/HMI, Mechatronics, Business, Finance, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of industrial process automation equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with electrical systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to read CAD drawings and P&IDs.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and prioritization abilities.
Location:
This position is based in our Sioux Center office, with less than 10% travel requirements.
