Test Lab Technician Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the world's top-recognized brands and companies, is actively seeking a Test Technician to join our Transportation Technology team in our Kentwood, Michigan office.

The Technician is responsible for supporting the Test Engineers in the set up and execution of product testing for outside clients. What you'll do :
- Prepare and setup test samples and test equipment.
- Operate equipment and perform testing in accordance with approved test plan.
- Obtain and record test data in accordance with standards.
- Perform calculation and analysis of test data.
- May draft test reports.
- Maintaining and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Maintain lab facilities.
- Assist with training entry level technicians.
- May make recommendation regarding the interpretation and applicability for specific test standards.
- May communicate with clients regarding general project inquiries, updates, etc.
- May assist with test plan creation and / or method development
- May adapt procedures and equipment to meet department needs.
- May prepare project files for compliance with operating procedures.
