AOI Operator (2nd Shift)

The work schedule of this position is Monday-Thursday 3:15pm-1:45am. 

(Training will be on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks)

Job Summary & Essential Functions

Ensure printed circuit board assemblies, (PCBAs), are built in accordance with the customer’s configuration and specified workmanship standards

• Utilize output from AOI equipment to assess conformity of PCBAs being built on the SMT line
• Identify persistent manufacturing defects and communicate them to the production coordinator
• Identify program issues related to false calls and communicate them to the production coordinator
• Accurately input defect data into the MES
• Recommend changes in documentation to ensure high quality results
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance inspection skills and knowledge of AOI equipment

• Ability to accurately perform visual inspection
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to perform detailed work for extended periods
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions, job orders, specifications, drawings, and assembly instructions
• Beginner component identification skills
• Ability to manipulate and work with tedious and small parts
• Strong decision-making skills utilizing sound judgement and thorough processes

Required Experience & Education  

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
