Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual (Spanish/English) New Patient Coordinator / Assistant Lien Coordinator to join our pain management clinic in Murray, UT. This part-time role is integral to ensuring smooth operations in managing patient referrals, insurance verification, and scheduling for both English and Spanish-speaking patients. As the Assistant Lien Coordinator, you will also be responsible for facilitating communication with Spanish-speaking patients, including interpreting as needed in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Referral Screening: Review and screen referrals from other medical providers, the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL), and other entities to ensure proper documentation and eligibility for care.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information, ensuring that necessary authorizations and verifications are in place prior to appointments.
- Medical Records Gathering: Obtain and organize relevant medical records for new patients as required, ensuring all information is complete and up to date.
- Patient Scheduling (Spanish-speaking): Schedule appointments for Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring they understand the process and are given appropriate appointment times.
- Interpretation Services: Provide interpretation for Spanish-speaking patients during in-clinic visits as needed, ensuring clear and effective communication between the patient and medical staff.
- General Assistance: Assist the clinic team with administrative tasks as required to maintain efficient operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in medical office administration or healthcare-related roles is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of referral management is preferred but not required.
