Overview
The Orthopedics and Pain Management Nurse Practitioner plays a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients experiencing acute pain. Duties

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ pain levels and medical histories.
  • Develop and implement individualized pain management plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress accurately in medical records.
  • Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies and self-care techniques.
  • Stay informed about current practices in pain management, including workers compensation law and acute pain management protocols.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.

Experience
Candidates should have a background in nursing with experience in pain management or related fields. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of anatomy relevant to pain management practices.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation processes.
  • Experience with sterile processing and aseptic techniques.
  • Understanding of MDS (Minimum Data Set) requirements.
  • Skills in dialyzing patients when necessary.
  • Experience or training related to infant care may be beneficial but is not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
