Quality Engineer Responsibilities - Develops and implements quality standards within an ISO 9001 system.
- Develops and implements quality control systems.
- Monitors and analyzes quality performance.
- Inspects and tests materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Collaborates with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Ensures workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
- Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
- Supports and implements corrective actions, solutions, and improvements to products and processes.
- Reviews codes, specifications, and processes.
- Generates quality work instructions.
- Understand IATF requirements, Customer Specific Requirements, and AA, DIN/EN, regulatory bodies.
- Generates and submits PPAP’s documentation, IMDS, CQI-9.
- Maintains and communicates Customer Score Cards and drives for improvements.
- Submits Customer Corrective Action reports.
- Performs Process & Product Audits.
- Keeps strong and prompt communication with Customers.
- Possess a knowledge of and demonstrate practical applications to all MIOSHA AND OSHA standards.
- This working schedule for this position is anticipated between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Additional hours/days outside of the anticipated schedule may be required (i.e.: extended working hours, occasional weekend, or Holiday).
This position requires excellent punctuality and attendance, with the physical ability to perform duties assigned. Use of various hand tools and instruments, and extreme temperatures. Requirements - Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in aluminum/automotive manufacturing & quality environment
- Engineering Degree in manufacturing, design, etc. is preferred.
- Strong GD&T knowledge
- Working experience in metal production, specifically aluminum, is preferred.
- Must have working experience in production tolerances (including use of various measuring tools)
- Must have working experience in Microsoft Office products.
- Working experience managing and maintaining information.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be conscientious and diligent, having high attention to detail.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic
- Commute to multiple company facilities and customers.
- Ability to use lab equipment and measuring tools, tensile test, shadowgraph, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Must provide valid documentation to support current authorization to work in the U.S. and travel between U.S. and Canada as sponsorship is not available.
