Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Cybersecurity, the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Engineer supports and maintains the organization's cybersecurity infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing secure network architectures, applying advanced security measures, and managing security policies on firewalls and intrusion detection systems. The engineer also administers continuous vulnerability management using Qualys WAS. Proficiency in AWS, Azure, Cloudflare’s WAF, and DDoS protection are essential. A strong understanding of networking, protocols, and expertise in scripting languages like Python and PowerShell for automation tasks, as well as integrating and securing APIs and TLS (SSL) certificates, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration: Managing application integrations, securing firewall/networking systems, and remediation of network vulnerabilities.
Security Tools Management: Proficiency with Azure, Cloudflare, Fortinet solutions.
Incident Response: Aid in the response to security incidents and breaches.
IT Cyber-Ops Oversight: Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in security operations and procedures, following the NIST CSF 2.0 cybersecurity framework, and ITIL guidelines
Technical Support: Providing second-level technical support and troubleshooting for IT and cybersecurity systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Stack:
- Windows OS and Linux OS experience is a must have
- Comfortable operating in AWS, Azure, and Oracle cloud environments
- Experience with Microsoft Azure networking infrastructure, Fortinet firewalls, Cloudflare security solutions
- Experience administering Cloudflare ZTNA, Qualys web application scanning (WAS), and FortiCloud/Analyzer
- Ability to architect and document complex networking systems and integrations
- Strong professional communication skills through email, chat, presentations, and conferences are required
Education/Work Experience:
- 7 years administering a medium to large corporate infrastructure
- Relevant industry certifications, such as CCNP, CEH, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), and Fortinet certifications are preferred
- 4-year degree from an accredited college or university is a plus
Success in this role will involve:
