About the Role:

This is a hands-on leadership position managing a team of approximately five manufacturing engineers. The role involves supporting new product introduction (NPI), overseeing production valve assembly and test efforts, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers.
• Serve as a high-performing manufacturing engineer while managing team responsibilities.
• Design, develop, and validate assembly and test fixtures.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on planning, scheduling, and priority-setting for NPI programs.
• Improve manufacturing, assembly, and test processes.
• Create and update routers, procedures, and documentation.
• Support or lead waste reduction, structured problem-solving, and root cause corrective actions.
• Conduct performance reviews, mentor team members, and participate in hiring decisions.
• Manage intern development and support capital expense initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education: BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical degree).
• Required Experience: 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency in fixture design and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing tools.
• Skills: Strong project management, communication, and team leadership abilities.
