Program Manager – Aerospace and Defense

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our Aerospace and Defense team. This role is pivotal in ensuring successful program execution by managing financial controls, schedules, contractual submittals, and fostering strong customer relationships. The Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver results that align with customer expectations and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Controls: Ensure programs are delivered within specific program award budgets, including tracking costs and managing financial performance
• Schedule Controls: Develop and oversee schedules to ensure on-time contract performance, allocating resources effectively to adapt to changing contract requirements
• Contractual Submittals: Manage the production and timely delivery of required documents, reports, and program updates as outlined by specific contract requirements
• Customer Relations:
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers
• Serve as the face of the organization, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships
• Cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure seamless program execution
• Business Acumen: Maintain a clear understanding of business practices, accounting procedures, quality assurance standards, contracts, and manufacturing processes to support program success
• Technical Expertise: Leverage a thorough understanding of engineering concepts and techniques to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders
  
  

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing complex programs, preferably in the Aerospace and Defense industry, with demonstrated financial management skills and exceptional communication abilities.

Education: Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent engineering discipline.Preferred but not required: Advanced degree (MBA or MS) and related aerospace experience

Skills:

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong understanding of quality assurance practices, sales techniques, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in program management tools and techniques
