Senior Project Control Specialist

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for leading Project Control activities and overseeing cost, scheduling, progress tracking, and project change management efforts. The role may function as a Project Control Lead on medium-sized projects or as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) guiding the Project Control team on larger-scale initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee the Project Controls program, ensuring effective cost management, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Establish and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Project Coding Structures to ensure seamless data integration from estimates to project execution.
• Monitor and analyze cost and schedule performance, identify variances, and propose corrective actions to maintain project goals.
• Lead cost control efforts, including profit recognition and risk evaluation.
• Oversee project scheduling, manage critical path activities, and assess schedule float to mitigate potential delays.
• Support proposal development by providing cost estimates and scheduling insights.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of relevant experience or a combination of 16 years of directly related experience instead of a degree.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Project control software such as Primavera P6, SAP, and other cost, scheduling, and progress tracking tools.
• Strong understanding of project phases, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Startup.
• Communication & Leadership: Effectively communicating with management, clients, vendors, and project teams.
• Experience leading cost control or scheduling teams on large or medium-sized projects.
• Other Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship is required.
• Willingness to travel internationally for project assignments or business needs.
