Job Title : Senior Control Engineer

Requirements :
5 years of solid controls experience
Siemens and Allen Bradley experience
Will be upgrading old equipment and implementing new builds
Prefer Bachelors but open to Associates
Automotive experience preferred - but has to have manufacturing (avoid food industry)
Summary :
This position focuses on providing controls for automated equipment, with primary responsibilities including PLC and HMI programming, network commissioning troubleshooting, and equipment integration.
Design, develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing methods, controls, devices, and systems to improve productivity and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and work with Allen-Bradley PLCs (500, RS Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix, Control Logix) and Siemens PLCs to ensure peak system performance.
Identify, investigate, and resolve issues related to scrap, downtime, and equipment failures to enhance process reliability.
Lead the execution of process changes, automation projects, and the installation of new equipment across various locations.
Develop and maintain electrical and control schematics, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Provide technical support during system commissioning, start-ups, and ongoing maintenance both locally and internationally.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (preferred)
5 years of experience in automation controls / electrical engineering
Strong proficiency in PLC and HMI programming with Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems
Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills for complex automation systems
Experience with Ethernet / IP Industrial Protocol, vision sensors, and barcode scanning systems
Proven ability to identify root causes of issues, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement
Flexibility to work varying hours and travel
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings (mechanical drawings would be a bonus) and control schematics
Experience working with robotic systems and robot controllers
