Responsibilities :
- Load stock into work holding devices and monitors the machining process.
- Performs visual and physical inspection of parts produced per Laitram Machine Shop Quality Management System.
- Performs accurate transactions (clock on, clock off, entering quantities, closing out operation when done, filling in appropriate paperwork).
- Operates equipment when setup operations are complete, up to and including high volume production orders.
- Cleans equipment used and keeps work area clean / organized.
- Performs accurate and repeatable set-ups across a variety of CNC Milling and Lathe machines.
- Make necessary adjustments to program speeds / feeds, work holding, and tooling to maintain nominal print dimensions and required surface finishes.
- Provides effective training and mentorship to develop the skills of other machinists.
