Operate and monitor extrusion and thermoforming line equipment to produce high-quality plastic products, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production standards. Contribute to efficient operations, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Extrusion Line Operations

• Set up and operate extrusion line equipment according to production specifications.
• Monitor and adjust parameters to ensure consistent material quality and output.
• Load raw materials and ensure proper feeding into the extrusion line.
• Conduct regular checks of extrusion processes, addressing any inconsistencies or issues.

Thermoforming Line Operations

• Set up and operate thermoforming line equipment according to production specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance, adjusting settings to maintain optimal production quality and output.
• Ensure molds and tools are prepared and maintained for smooth operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of the thermoforming process to identify and resolve issues promptly.

Quality Assurance:

• Perform quality checks on both extruded sheets and thermoformed products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Record and report deviations or defects to supervisors and quality control teams.
• Collaborate with the quality team to implement corrective actions as necessary.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of extrusion and thermoforming equipment to prevent malfunctions.
• Perform first-level maintenance tasks, such as cleaning dies and screws, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinating with maintenance teams for complex repairs.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and machine performance.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure the thermoforming process complies with food-grade or other relevant standards.
• Participate in regular safety training and contribute to a safe working environment.

Process Optimization

• Monitor production metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Assist in the implementation of best practices and innovative solution in extrusion and thermoforming processes.
• Collaborate with team members to reduce waste and improve material utilization.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet production goals.
• Communicate effectively during shift changes to ensure continuity in operations.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for enhancing machine performance and workflow.

Candidate Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in plastics or manufacturing is a plus.

· Previous experience in operating both extrusion and thermoforming equipment preferred.

· Physical ability to handle materials and stand for extended periods.

· Capability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.

· Basic computer skills for logging production and quality data.

· Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts and overtime if needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.50 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 48 per week
