Duties And Required Skills
- Perform various general labor tasks including finishing, cleaning, marking, polishing, painting, and deburring of machined parts and components
- Perform basic manual (secondary) machining operations
- Interpret written and verbal work instructions to perform assigned tasks
- Utilize equipment in proper manner to complete finishing operations or secondary manual machining operations
- Perform critical visual inspections
- Move and organize materials required to complete operations and tasks
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Keep records per work instructions
- Knowledge of commonly used manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical work instructions
- Ability to use measuring equipment
- Discipline to provide consistent and precise work
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prefer 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment conducting finishing work (cleaning, marking, polishing, painting, or deburring) and/or basic manual machining operations
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with others
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good computer skills
- Ability to manage multiple demands in a professional manner
- Work schedule is 4-10s, Monday-Thursday
- First shift hours Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Second shift hours Monday-Thursday 4:15 p.m. – 2:45 a.m.
- OT may be available depending on workload
- OUR SHOP IS TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED AND CLEAN!
- Work is performed in a manufacturing plant on the production floor around large machinery.
- Ability of lift, push, pull or move up to 40 lbs.
- Must have constant free mobility of hands and arms; physical and manual dexterity required.
