We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team in a part-time capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. You will work closely with other departments to reconcile accounts, process invoices, and assist with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures.

Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and receivables, answering vendor questions and resolving issues.
- Utilize invoicing software, ensuring invoice quality and accuracy of information.
- Work directly with the Accounting Team and Chief Financial Officer to resolve outstanding issues.
- Assist with bank and accounting reconciliations as needed.
- Assist with other standard, routine accounting protocols common to monthly accounting cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant recent experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards
- Minimum of 1 year working experience in Quickbooks Accounting Online is required
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and procedures.
- Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
- Ability to be onsite in the downtown Chicago office 2-3 days a week (~24-30 hours a week)
