Overview
Job Title: Angiographer
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks, with option to extend.
Start Date: ASAP!
Client Location: Murray, UT
Schedule Notes: 4 X 10s Days On-call
Duties:
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
- Prepares patients for exam using appropriate body mechanics.
- Identifies proper exams based on patient need and utilizes correct exam techniques.
- Produces quality images through the appropriate operation of equipment/instrumentation.
- Follows proper patient identification protocols.
- Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
- Maintains work area and stocks needed supplies.
- Transports patients as needed.
- Develops specific knowledge with regard to invasive, diagnostic and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques.
- At the end of the procedure, may apply closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis.
- Understands and applies principles of x-ray generation and safety.
- Understands and demonstrates the correct operation of imaging equipment.
- Provides patient education, as needed and assures patient comfort.
- Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to Angio lab policies and procedures and Scope of Practice documents.
- Required Education:
- HS diploma or GED
- Required Certifications & Licensure:
- ARRT registration
- State of Utah Rad Tech License.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Must have Vascular/Interventional radiography certification, or one year of Angio/Interventional experience.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
- ACLS or PALS certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform angiographic procedures, including catheter placements and imaging of blood vessels.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and imaging results.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures during all procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging studies.
- Assist in the training of new staff or interns on angiographic techniques and equipment usage.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
