Overview
Job Title: Angiographer
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks, with option to extend.
Start Date: ASAP!
Client Location: Murray, UT
Schedule Notes: 4 X 10s Days On-call

Duties:

• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Prepares patients for exam using appropriate body mechanics.
• Identifies proper exams based on patient need and utilizes correct exam techniques.
• Produces quality images through the appropriate operation of equipment/instrumentation.
• Follows proper patient identification protocols.
• Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
• Maintains work area and stocks needed supplies.
• Transports patients as needed.
• Develops specific knowledge with regard to invasive, diagnostic and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques.
• At the end of the procedure, may apply closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis.
• Understands and applies principles of x-ray generation and safety.
• Understands and demonstrates the correct operation of imaging equipment.
• Provides patient education, as needed and assures patient comfort.
• Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to Angio lab policies and procedures and Scope of Practice documents.
• Required Education:
• HS diploma or GED
• Required Certifications & Licensure:
• ARRT registration
• State of Utah Rad Tech License.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Must have Vascular/Interventional radiography certification, or one year of Angio/Interventional experience.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

• ACLS or PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform angiographic procedures, including catheter placements and imaging of blood vessels.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and imaging results.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures during all procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging studies.
• Assist in the training of new staff or interns on angiographic techniques and equipment usage.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
