Shift: Nights
Contract weeks: 08 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours
Every other weekend. 40 hour guaranteed
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires a strong background in nursing, particularly in long-term care settings, and a passion for supporting both patients and staff.
Duties
- Supervise nursing staff in the delivery of patient care within the facility.
- Ensure adherence to established protocols for medication administration and acute pain management.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient needs and develop care plans accordingly.
- Provide guidance on basic life support techniques and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, particularly in geriatrics and ophthalmology.
- Monitor compliance with safety standards and regulations within the nursing home environment.
- Facilitate staff training on essential skills such as inhalation therapies and dialysis procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and staff performance.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with experience in long-term care settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and geriatric care principles.
- Experience in acute pain management and medication administration is essential.
- Familiarity with basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while providing guidance to nursing staff.
- Previous experience in nursing home supervision or management is highly desirable.
