Company Culture: This dynamic, growth-stage company is dedicated to innovation and excellence in healthcare technology. They prioritize a healthy work-life balance, offering unlimited PTO, and close our office for two weeks at the end of the year and an extra day around major holidays. Their commitment to social responsibility is reflected in our annual mission trips with One World Health, where you can join us on fully paid and expenses-covered trips to make a global impact.

About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and results-oriented UX Designer to join our client's team in shaping the user experience of our cutting-edge SaaS platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building an AI-enabled product and UX function from the ground up.

What You'll Do:

  • Translate Complex Problems into Solutions: Use research findings and user pain points to develop practical and impactful design solutions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Engage with stakeholders, including product, engineering, and customer-facing teams in drafting and brainstorming initial concepts.
  • Visualize and Prototype Ideas: Quickly create sketches, wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.
  • Conduct Research and Testing: Perform primary and/or secondary research, as well as quick rounds of usability tests to validate solutions.
  • Create Iterative Designs: Develop designs that meet product objectives and respond to feedback and usability testing.
  • Support Product Development: Collaborate with product and engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Articulate Design Strategy: Clearly communicate the strategy and data behind design decisions and participate in regular reviews.
  • Advocate for the User: Ensure user needs are central to all product discussions and decisions.

Who You Are:

  • Experience: 5 years in UX design, with experience in user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and solution validation/testing.
  • Domain Expertise: Experience crafting healthcare, finance, or similar B2B SaaS workflow product experiences using human-centered design.
  • Research Skills: Proficient in using both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including contextual inquiries, guided explorations, and usability testing.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in developing IA and user flows using tools like Visio, Omnigraffle, Figma, or similar software. Proficient in designing high-fidelity mocks in Axure RP, Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Technical Understanding: Ability to navigate technical constraints, user goals, and business requirements that shape current and future designs.

Nice to Have:

  • Healthcare Experience: Experience within healthcare, specifically with providers/administrators, health plans, or revenue cycle management workflows.
  • Design System Expertise: Experience creating and managing UI pattern libraries and interaction guidelines, including building and implementing a design system.
  • Research Partnerships: Experience partnering with third-party research firms.
  • Growth Stage Experience: Previous experience in a growth-stage company environment.

Standout Qualifications:

  • AI/ML Experience: Managed products with ML and/or AI-enabled features.
  • World-Class Product Experience: Notable experience in a world-class product offering.
  • Customer Research Repository: Established and maintained a customer research repository.

What We Offer:

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary ($80-$130K), 10% bonus, and equity opportunities.
  • Work Environment: Enjoy the company's unique office space in Minneapolis’ North Loop, featuring a blend of work, coffee shop, and lounge areas, complete with ping pong, shuffle puck, golf bays, and a piano.
  • Growth Opportunities: Be part of a profitable company that prioritizes building strong foundations for long-term success.
