We are seeking a Director of Accounting to oversee general ledger and payroll operations, drive accounting transformation initiatives, and manage financial risks. This leader will play a crucial role in executing both short- and long-term strategic goals, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and optimizing financial processes in a high-growth software environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership & Strategy :
- Lead and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Financial Close & Reporting :
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and quarter-end close in NetSuite and FloQast .
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Oversee financial reporting and collaborate with FP&A on compensation-related accruals.
- Accounting Operations & Compliance :
- Oversee payroll accounting, including salaries, commissions, bonuses, and benefits.
- Own capitalized software & deferred commission accounting ( ASC 985-20 & ASC 606 ), ensuring GAAP compliance.
- Implement SOX-compliant internal controls and prepare for SEC reporting as the company scales.
- Lead international accounting and intercompany transactions, supporting global expansion.
- Process Improvement & Automation :
- Drive automation initiatives using AI, RPA, and ERP optimizations to streamline workflows.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance close timelines and reporting accuracy.
- Ensure scalability of accounting systems and policies as the company transitions from EGC to public company readiness.
- Audit & Compliance :
- Manage audit requests and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of consolidated and statutory audits .
- Evaluate and implement new accounting policies in alignment with regulatory and business changes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure proper accounting for software development costs.
- Partner with FP&A, HR, and Legal on financial processes, tax implications, and compliance matters.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location. Salary range : $150,000 - $200,000
