What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Financial Operations Analyst position at InvestCloudOct2024?
The Senior Financial Operations (FinOps) Analyst will analyze our infrastructure and cloud usage, create dashboards to track cloud expenses and forecasts, partner closely with our Tech Operations team on forecasting our infrastructure expenses, and aid in the decision-making optimization of our infrastructure.
As a Senior Financial Operations Analyst, you can look forward to:
- Analyzing cloud and infrastructure usage patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality
- Collaborating with the Finance and Tech Ops team to drive cost optimization initiatives and implementing best practices for infrastructure & cloud cost management
- Monitoring infrastructure spend and providing detailed reporting and insights to key stakeholders
- Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards to track infrastructure expenses, budget forecasting, and savings.
- Developing and presenting data-driven recommendations to support budget planning and resource allocation.
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or equivalent field; CPA or Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in FP&A, a plus if in a FinOps capacity
- Experience with cloud cost management platforms and FinOps tools
- Strong understanding of infrastructure services and major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Experience implementing and maintaining FinOps practices and methodologies
- Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity
- Must be excited to work in a fast-paced, challenging and changing environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and Excel skills

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location. Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000
