Sr. Manager, Product Owner: API HUB

As the API Hub Product Owner you will bring a strong technical background and will drive the vision and execution of our API Hub product and the journey to a strategic API Gateway (fully modern platform). Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you will ensure our APIs meet customer needs, drive growth, and maintain our leadership position in the fintech industry. You will manage the product lifecycle, from defining the roadmap to overseeing development.

About the Team

You will be joining the newly formed AI, Data & Analytics team, primarily responsible as a Product Owner for API Hub and several small applications. The new team is focused on driving increased value from the data InvestCloud captures to enable a smarter financial future for our clients, in particular focused on “enhanced intelligence”. Ensuring we have fit-for-purpose modern capabilities is a key goal for the team.

How you will provide meaningful contributions:

• Collaborate with customers and partners to understand their technical requirements and translate them into actionable requirements.
• Identify and address product gaps, enhancing customer experience and market fit.
• Define and maintain a cohesive product vision aligned with strategic goals.
• Work closely with Client facing teams and other technical teams to develop and implement a product roadmap
• Work closely with front-end and back-end engineers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to ensure seamless integration and smooth functionality across all systems
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value.
• Oversee the entire product SDLC journey, including but not limited to coding, testing, debugging.
• Responsible for leading, coaching and developing a small team to be high performing.
• Monitor product performance, using data to drive recommendations & implementation of improvements.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements to optimize API responses, reduce latency, and enhance the overall user experience
• Define acceptance criteria and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including Scrum meetings and sprints.

Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Strong, hands-on understanding of APIs, software development, and web technologies.
• Leadership: Proven track record in leading product strategies and aligning cross-functional teams.
• Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex ideas simply.
• Collaboration: Skilled at facilitating productive discussions and resolving conflicts.
• Adaptability: Comfortable with a dynamic environment and willing to roll up sleeves when needed
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related fields
• 8 years experience in API engineering/ or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and backlog management.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, particularly under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in customer engagement and advocacy.
• Familiarity with the fintech industry or APIs is a plus

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location. Salary range:  $125,000 - $170,000
