Join our dynamic team at ICI, where we are dedicated to enhancing our digital presence and improving customer engagement. We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer to conceptualize, design, and develop a variety of assets, including digital and print collateral, infographics, video and motion graphics, presentations, conference graphics, email marketing, and social media content.

As a Graphic Designer, you will work closely with the Senior Creative Director and other team members to develop and design visual concepts that align with our current policy themes, communication standards, and consistent branding. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing digital content while considering budget, timing, and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a project manager in partnership with the Senior Creative Director and other staff to develop and design visual concepts.
• Design and develop complex graphics and illustrations for use in statistical research publications and social media postings.
• Create and manipulate illustrations and photographs for digital applications and publications.
• Develop fully realized creative concepts and assets, including animations, audio, and video, that are on brand and strategically focused.
• Collaborate with outside vendors and partners on projects.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in graphic design or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of graphic design experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
• Knowledge and expertise in design and production methods, web development, and graphic design principles.
• Experience working with trade associations, public affairs, or political entities, and/or highly regulated industries.
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver).
• Proficiency in audio and video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Working knowledge of HTML and related software used in building online and digital communications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Team player who can work with staff at all levels in a collaborative environment.
• Self-starter and independent worker with the ability to organize, coordinate, and deliver multiple projects on time with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.

Based in Washington, DC, ICI is conveniently located next to McPherson Square Metro station. This is a hybrid position with three days in the office and two working from home.  Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to, qualifications for the position, level  experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons. Base pay is one component of ICI’s total compensation, which also includes healthcare benefits, generous 401(k) plan, transit subsidy, and paid leave.
