Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Superintendent to support our construction projects for multi-family communities. The ideal candidate will assist the Superintendent in managing on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • This position is expected to last until August 2025, with the possibility of additional work in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing daily on-site construction operations, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project managers to maintain project schedules.
  • Schedule and manage construction subcontractors and inspections, working closely with city building inspectors.
  • Read and interpret architectural plans to ensure project accuracy.
  • Monitor progress, materials, and resources to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Support in ensuring compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Superintendent, providing updates on project status.
  • Help manage budgets, schedules, and materials for construction phases.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, preferably in multi-family or residential projects.
  • Working knowledge of general construction activities and hands-on experience scheduling subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with scheduling inspections and interacting with city building inspectors.
  • Ability to read architectural plans and technical documents.
  • Good communication and computer skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in project management software is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or construction management certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on-site, including climbing ladders and navigating construction zones.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
