Position Title: Private Equity Associate
Location: Manhattan, NY

Our firm partners with management teams to drive growth, restructure operations, and achieve sustainable performance improvements across diverse industries including the consumer, industrial and technology sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting industry research using tools such as Salesforce, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, and FactSet.
- Supporting the deal process evaluation, including structuring, negotiation, and financing of transactions.
- Performing detailed company-specific analyses, including cohort analysis, revenue breakdowns, and financial performance metrics (e.g., revenue, gross margin, EBITDA), as well as customer-level performance.
- Building complex financial models to assess potential investment opportunities, employing advanced financial models for leveraged buyouts, mergers, public company take-privates, and other deal types.
- Preparing comprehensive investment committee presentations and memoranda.
- Contributing to the ongoing management of existing portfolio investments.
Private Equity Investment Approach: Focus on complex lower middle-market businesses, upper middle market buyouts, and high-quality, stable target company growth buyouts in businesses with EBITDA ranging from $25 million to $100 million. Targets include small, growth-focused leveraged buyouts with both majority and minority growth equity investments.
Private Credit Investment Approach: Agnostic to sponsor involvement – flexible across private, public, sponsored and non-sponsored businesses. Target investments in businesses with EBITDA of $10 to $100 million. Emphasis on senior secured first lien, second lien and unitranche financings.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience at a top-tier investment bank.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, including the ability to conduct detailed industry and company-specific analyses, such as customer cohort analysis, revenue breakdowns, financial performance metrics (covering revenue, gross margin, and EBITDA), and customer-level insights.
- Proficient in building and updating complex financial models, including those for leveraged buyouts, take-privates, dividend transactions, and minority investments.
- Excellent academic record with a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a strong ability to collaborate with teams and interact with senior stakeholders.
Location: This role is based in Manhattan, NY. On-site presence is required four days a week, Monday through Thursday.
Compensation: Base salary with additional performance-based bonuses. Compensation is based on total capital managed by the firm and its affiliates.
