Position Overview:
The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing and executing both ground-up construction and medical tenant fit-out projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in healthcare and commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of ground-up construction projects and medical tenant fit-outs.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and cost estimates, ensuring project milestones are met.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to establish project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Monitor and control project costs, approve invoices, and track project budgets.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality standards are met, and resolve any on-site issues.
- Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among all team members.
- Resolve any project-related issues, including delays, unforeseen conditions, or budget concerns, to maintain project success.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on ground-up commercial construction and medical tenant fit-outs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
Skills:
- Strong project management and leadership abilities.
- Deep understanding of construction processes, contract management, and budgeting.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and healthcare-specific requirements for tenant fit-outs.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), LEED Accreditation, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
