Our client, based in Richmond, VA, is known for its supportive environment, with an average team tenure of over 17 years. Specializing in Commercial, Industrial, and Heavy Civil construction across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, they’re looking to hire a Superintendent for Richmond-area projects. Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage field resources, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Ensure subcontractor performance meets quality standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate final project budget and construction schedule with the Project Manager.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues, escalating as needed.
- Inspect work to verify adherence to specifications and schedule.
- Review contract requirements, including inspections, claims, and shutdowns.
- Maintain a 3-Week Look Ahead schedule and assist in creating the project schedule.
- Supervise on-site construction, including foreman and craft activities.
- Oversee site safety and enforce all safety regulations.
- Review submittals to ensure cross-trade compliance with contract requirements.
- Manage start-up and close-out activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ground-up or rehabilitation construction, with solid civil and mechanical knowledge.
- Water/Wastewater treatment experience is a bonus!
- Proven experience leading a job-site team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
