What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler position at INW Manufacturing, LLC?
Responsibilities
- Run MRP to determine manufacturing and production run needs.
- Update production jobs with any modifications needed from change controls or deviations.
- Research and assign manufacturing and production dates necessary to complete order before customer due date.
- Coordinate with customer service, purchasing, manufacturing, and production teams to monitor and resolve issues affecting delivery.
- Responsible to deliver shop floor job tickets to production and will be required to track every batch and fill ticket through the manufacturing process to ensure all are accounted for.
- Responsible to monitor bulk inventory to use current WIP inventory prior to scheduling.
- Will lead daily team meetings to go over current schedule as well as any issues production or other departments are having.
- Research order and delivery discrepancies and resolve MRP related issues. Take appropriate corrective actions to prevent similar issues.
- Coordinate and manage special projects as required.
Requirements
- Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel skills
- Knowledge and experience in MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills are required.
- Ability to move with a dynamic workload: From multi-tasking during peak workloads – to very focused, detail-oriented work during critical projects.
- Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 2 years of experience in same or similar industry.
- Experience as a planner/scheduler in a manufacturing environment (2 or more years preferred)
- Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
