IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.
Our client is looking for an Automation Engineer to be responsible for designing, planning, evaluating, and administering automation solutions across various platforms, including Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and other automation tools. The engineer will work closely with the Server and Security teams to identify opportunities for improvement, expansion, and innovation within the existing infrastructure. The role requires strong analytical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a deep understanding of automation and server technologies
Tasks
- Design, deploy, and maintain Power Apps and automation solutions for optimal performance and efficiency
- Assist in maintaining cloud-based enterprise solutions, including Microsoft Azure / Office 365 (including SharePoint)
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 End User Support, including responding to help desk tickets and reported incidents
- Investigate, troubleshoot, facilitate, and report incidents resulting in outage or system failure
- Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis and develop recommendations and next steps for optimal incident management
- Identify and document key policies, procedures, and governance for enterprise systems operations
- Provide support and ongoing reinforcement of change management philosophies related to changes and advances in innovative business systems
- Research, pilot, integrate, and implement new technologies to support business needs and requests
- Lead special projects as assigned
- Respond to alerts, monitor health, and seek improvement opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
NOTE: Candidates must be local at time of submission. Relocation is not allowed. This person will be working ONSITE in a full-time capacity in Detroit, MI. Remote work is not an option.

Skills Required:
- 5 years - Experience in systems engineering and automation.
- 2 years -Experience with Microsoft Azure AD connect and Office 365.
- Operational experience with industry-standard security protocols and procedures.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and related tools.
- Knowledge of infrastructure support including Windows Server, virtualization, Active Directory (AD), and Shell scripting
- Excellent troubleshooting and logical skills along with a deep understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Associate s Degree or similar in a related field
Skills Desired A plus to have:
- Certification in Microsoft Power Platform or related automation tools
