IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client is looking for a Desktop Support professional to provide expert level technical assistance in support and preparation of desktop supported applications and hardware. This position receives escalated level support issues from an internal Service Desk. The candidate shall have expert level experience in a Desktop Support position and be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures relating to Desktop Support.

Tasks
  • Independently perform a variety of desktop related tasks.
  • Serve as a desktop expert day-to-day resolving end user issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Independently perform a variety of desktop support related tasks
  • A wide degree of creativity, self-direction, prioritization
  • Analytical/problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced customer support skills

NOTE: Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI (within 30 days) of starting the role at their own expense. On-site (Milwaukee office) with future ability to be Hybrid, maximum 2 days remote work. On call/stand by hours will be required with this position. This could require the candidate to work more than 40 hours per week.

Skills Required:
  • Experience in desktop concepts, practices and procedures related to desktop support
  • Extensive knowledge with desktop technology
  • Windows desktop operation systems experience
  • Desktop applications experience
  • Experience with Multi-Function Devices (print/fax/copier/scanner)
  • Experience with wireless devices such as Android phones, iPhones, and/or iPads
  • Remote Desktop Management Tools experience
  • Experience in technical writing and documentation
  • Customer Service experience
  • Technical Assistance and user support experience
  • Experience with MS Office products, MS Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Experience with Active Directory Tools
  • Experience / general understanding of Microsoft MECM/SCCM (for patch management, software deployment, and inventory management)
  • Installation and maintenance of PC s experience
  • Experience / knowledge of Omnissa Horizon, VMWare workstation, Microsoft VPC or similar product
  • Experience with Application Installation, Support, and Troubleshooting
  • Mac OS X experience
