Purpose
The Director of Project Management will play a crucial role in leading cross-functional projects. This role will develop, implement, and execute projects of all sizes; establish effective project governance, manage vendors, facilitate meetings and provide regular status updates, identify and manage risks, and act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders
Essential Functions - may include, but are not limited to :
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently with diverse project teams.
- Defining project scope, objectives, budget and deliverables.
- Create project plans, schedules and timelines.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, both with internal and external partners.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Communicate plan deviations and guide the implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify, track, and comprehensively document project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and communicate to project team accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Hold project teams and members accountable for commitments and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Remove roadblocks and impediments that hinder team progress.
- Leverage organizational resources to improve team and individual capacity for project work.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinating activities of third-party resources effectively
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure company service standards are continually achieved.
