Purpose

The Director of Project Management will play a crucial role in leading cross-functional projects. This role will develop, implement, and execute projects of all sizes; establish effective project governance, manage vendors, facilitate meetings and provide regular status updates, identify and manage risks, and act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders

Essential Functions - may include, but are not limited to :

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently with diverse project teams.
  • Defining project scope, objectives, budget and deliverables.
  • Create project plans, schedules and timelines.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, both with internal and external partners.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Communicate plan deviations and guide the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Identify, track, and comprehensively document project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and communicate to project team accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Hold project teams and members accountable for commitments and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Remove roadblocks and impediments that hinder team progress.
  • Leverage organizational resources to improve team and individual capacity for project work.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinating activities of third-party resources effectively
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Ensure company service standards are continually achieved.

Compliance

  • Maintain working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures, State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for compliance regulations related to this position and receiving appropriate training including but not limited to :
  • Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
  • USA Patriot Act
  • All other applicable compliance regulations are identified by subject matter experts and are listed in the master compliance training spreadsheet
  • Other Functions

  • Proven working experience in varying project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience in managing conflicts and resolving disputes among diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to systematically identify and define problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement cost effective solutions.
  • Proactive, highly visible across the organization
  • Actively participates in community service to promote the Bank's image and visibility within the community.
  • Actively promotes Ion's SARF Service Philosophy
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree required, or some comparable combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of leadership experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
  • Physical Qualifications

  • Frequently work in or visit one or more buildings of the company, including occasional travel over state lines.
  • Ability to partner with the various leaders around the business and exert a high-degree of influence in order to obtain desired project results.
  • Ability to effectively perform under pressure to ensure project timeline and objectives are met despite any unexpected occurrences.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop high-quality documents for a variety of purposes, including MS Office docs.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across all areas and project a high degree of credibility.
  • Ability to receive and provide feedback, meet deadlines, all other performance standards.
  • Ability to systematically identify and define problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement cost effective solutions.
