Position Summary
ION is looking for a full-time Origination Manager to support the overall commercialization of ION’s transformative energy transition technology. This includes driving Inbound and Outbound lead generation, performing market and project analysis to support market development and qualification of customers through the initial phases of the project development, and serve as the point of contact for customers during the development stages. Planning and prioritization, collaboration and teamwork with customer teams, and ION teams, plus business and industry acumen are “must have” skills and requirements for success in the role. This position will report directly to the Vice President, Business Development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Builds, executes and delivers market development KPIs, and tracks and reports on such KPIs.
- Collaborates and manages relationships between Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Finance groups.
- Builds effective relationships and networks that produce quality ION customer interest and qualified leads.
- Effectively builds impactful internal presentations and presentations to potential customers.
- Assists with developing proposals for prospective customers.
- Serves as a point of contact for business-oriented client persona and aligns cross functionally with ION Project Management team.
- Works within ION to identify high-value arenas for the Origination team.
- Updates the CRM, including accurately forecasting customers’ next steps.
- Understands technical concepts, customer requirements and ION processes and technology sufficiently to be able to communicate and provide guidance to potential customers.
- Performs decarbonized market research, builds detailed market presentations, and presents findings to Business Development team.
- Supports the development of, and performs updates to, project risk registry for assigned customer projects.
- Represents ION with key project partners and customers.
