Quality Assurance Inspector
Reports To
QA Audit Supervisor
YOUR PURPOSE
Perform product and facility, product and documentation audits/inspections to ensure company quality standards are being met, alerting quality and operational management of any noted issues.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify compliance with production records and procedures.
- Audit the facility against regulatory and certification standards, as well as internal requirements.
- Ensure completeness of manufacturing processes prior to initiation of the next process step.
- Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Perform final product AQL inspections and communicate findings to both Quality and Operational Management.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
- Review completed BPR for completeness and correct entries prior to submitting for final approval
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
- Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures and protocols.
- All other duties as assigned by Quality Management.
- Willing to work overtime, other shifts, holidays, and weekends as requested by the Supervisor.
Education:
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cGMP environment: Drugs, Cosmetics, Dietary Supplements, Food, or Medical Device.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of measurement devices, balances, micrometers, and others as trained.
- Understanding of Metric System.
- Functional math skills (calculations, rounding numbers, weights and percentages).
- Documentation Skills.
- Strong proofreading skills, attention to detail a must.
- Ability to operate basic computer software, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Work independently as well as in team environments in a fast paced setting.
- Must have a good interpersonal and communication skill in English, understand both oral and written instructions and be detail oriented.
- Basic understanding and interpreting of Work Instructions and SOP’s.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to move at a fast pace for the entirety of the scheduled shift.

- Department cGMP and SOP requirements.
