In addition, the internship program allows students to grow both professionally and personally through interactions with research and business professionals in support of projects aligned with department initiatives. Students will learn and work under a practicing professional who will provide guidance and mentorship.
Lead Identification Research
Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Antisense Lead Identification group as an intern for the summer of 2025. The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced, highly productive, and innovative research team and have the opportunity for high impact contributions to the drug discovery process here at Ionis. This process will include PCR assay development, a high level of instrument optimization, and experimental set up design modification to allow for automated instrument file set up, and auto generated analysis. The expected outcome is seamless automated implementation of identified tolerability markers to panel evaluated by the PCR Core department here at Ionis.

The pay scale for this position is $18 to $23 per hour.

- MUST be able and willing to commit to a minimum 40-hour workweek and work onsite in Carlsbad, CA.
