DIRECTOR, CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs, the Director of Corporate Responsibility (CR) will have a critical role in managing the strategy and implementation of Ionis' corporate responsibility and sustainability initiatives to magnify impact for internal and external stakeholders across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas. The Director of CR will lead Ionis' CR strategy, CR / ESG reporting and communications, and social impact workstreams. The leader will work with the executive CR Steering Committee and subject matter experts (SMEs) across Ionis on CR strategy and implementation of key areas of focus. They will work across the organization to influence on sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), responsible supply chain, and governance topics to drive measurable progress on Ionis' corporate responsibility goals. The Director of CR will manage the Senior Manager for Social Impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Corporate Responsibility and Strategic Leadership
- Evolve strategy and implementation of Ionis' CR and sustainability efforts to align with Ionis' goals and business objectives
- Assess potential CR and ESG risks and opportunities, develop strategies, and monitor emerging global trends and regulations
- Partner with SVP of Corporate Affairs to lead the executive CR steering committee on the strategy, long term roadmap, metrics and benchmarks for ongoing CR performance
- Serve as a thought leader and advocate for corporate responsibility internally and externally.
- Prepare annual update for Board of Directors and CEO in collaboration with CR steering committee.
