A leading global financial technology firm is seeking an experienced Software Sales Director to drive strategic growth across its post-trade solutions portfolio for Tier 1 and Tier 2 banking clients. This is a high-impact leadership role based in New York, offering a competitive $175,000 base salary with uncapped double OTE and the opportunity to shape the future of post-trade automation for the world’s top financial institutions.
The Role
You will lead sales across a suite of sophisticated post-trade software solutions, including trade reconciliation, collateral and liquidity management, corporate actions automation, and regulatory reporting. You’ll work closely with product, pre-sales, and senior leadership to win and expand multi-million-pound deals with major global and regional banks.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow enterprise-level sales relationships within the banking sector, with a focus on back-office and operations technology
- Develop and execute strategic account plans targeting key decision-makers across operations, IT, and transformation teams
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver tailored demos, RFP responses, and value-driven proposals
- Maintain a deep understanding of regulatory drivers (e.g. CSDR, T 1, Basel III) and operational challenges facing post-trade teams
- Navigate complex sales cycles, often involving multiple stakeholders across global business units
About You
- Proven track record selling complex financial software solutions into Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks, ideally within post-trade or capital markets infrastructure
- Deep understanding of the post-trade ecosystem including areas like reconciliation, settlement, clearing, collateral optimisation, and reporting
- Strong network of contacts within banking operations, treasury, and IT
- Commercially sharp with the ability to open new doors and close high-value, multi-stakeholder deals
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, and international environment
