Clinical Assistant Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in a clinical setting that includes sterile procedures or surgery.
- Sterile experience
- Versatility for clinical and administrative based responsibilities
- Strong work ethic, dedication, and accountability are all necessary to be successful in this role.
- Thorough and adequate training will be provided for all of the required tasks.
Clinical Assistant Job Description
Our Clinical Assistant is not only a vital part of our team, but an asset to our physicians. You will work hand-in-hand with our physicians during consultations, brace fittings, MRI reviews, diagnostic injections, pre and post procedural appointments, follow-up's and Stem Cell treatments. You will also work very closely with anesthesia team and helping them with equipment and patient preparation. There are both medical and administrative centric components to this role.
Clinical Assistant Tasks
- Prepares patients for their procedure; helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment; arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Assisting physicians during Bio-Restorative procedures.
- Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment; scribing for physician; recording patient examination, treatment, and test results.
- Educates patients; answers questions and obtains consent from patient prior to procedure.
- Assist the Anesthesia team in various ways
- Serves and protects the physician and practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCAHO standards.
*All of these tasks are completed under supervision of physician(s).
** Additional miscellaneous tasks as needed.
