Key Responsibilities
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts that align with business objectives and support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Monitor supply planning by evaluating production capacity, raw material availability, and lead times to ensure alignment between supply and demand, proactively addressing potential constraints to meet business objectives and customer needs.
- Oversee inventory management by monitoring inventory levels, identifying potential stock shortages or overstocking issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to adjust production plans and supply chain strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet business objectives.
- Evaluate production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks by analyzing resource availability, production constraints, and demand forecasts; collaborate with cross-functional teams to address capacity challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production scheduling, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maintaining efficiency across operations.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional S&OP meetings by coordinating with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to gather critical input, align on key business objectives, and develop a collaborative, consensus-driven demand and supply plan that supports organizational goals.
- Leverage data and advanced analytical tools to analyze demand and supply trends, identify patterns, and assess potential risks; develop actionable insights to proactively address imbalances, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with business objectives by driving appropriate actions to achieve the required supply output and meet customer demand.
- Lead scenario demonstrations by analyzing the impact of fluctuating demand patterns, including highs and lows, against various manufacturing constraints such as capacity, lead times, and resource availability; develop and evaluate potential production facility/layout schematics to optimize operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and minimizing risks to supply chain performance.
- Establish and manage a structured cadence of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, ensuring data is systematically gathered, reviewed, and analyzed by key stakeholders ahead of formal executive presentations; develop and deliver comprehensive S&OP reports to executive management, highlighting critical metrics, identifying potential risks or issues, and proposing actionable initiatives to address these challenges, fostering alignment and strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Identify and lead initiatives to optimize the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by continuously evaluating and improving forecasting methods, enhancing data accuracy, and ensuring high-quality data integration to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
- BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering, with 5-10 years experience in supply chain management, including supply chain demand and supply planning and S&OP.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and operations planning with strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders like sales, marketing, and operations, with a strong attention to detail.
- Leadership abilities to facilitate decision-making and consensus building with internal/external partners and cross-functional project teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for demand forecasting, supply chain planning, and statistical modeling.
- Self-motivated and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
- Experience with IRT and/or ERP systems is a plus; proficient in MS office tools.
