Job Description
- Prepare and maintain accounting department functions and workflow, including general ledgers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Coordinate and analyze daily and monthly transaction reports, reconciliations, and activity reports for mortgage, cash, credit card sales, and other accounts.
- Enhance and improve internal controls and policies in the accounting of the mortgage operation.
- Provide excellent client service to internal departments and resolve complex issues and discrepancies.
- Assist with coordination and preparation of records and reports for internal users and annual audit and tax returns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
- Three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, database management, and bank transaction software.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective written and oral communication.
