Iowa Care Community, Iowa City Hospice, and Visiting Nurse Association of Johnson County are non-profit agencies whose mission is to serve and support our community with in-home care and hospice services.
We are in search of a dependable Receptionist to provide daily support to agency departments, clients, field staff and patients through actives that include but are not limited to routeing incoming calls to appropriate voice mail or employee, scan and organize documents into appropriate electronic systems; provide data entry and spreadsheet maintenance, assistance with forms and supplies as requested, assist other office personnel per business need and other assigned clerical duties as needed.

General Description : Provide administrative support to teams. Cultivate a safe and welcoming social environment staff, patients, volunteers and management. Fosters an effective workforce by organizing workspace and activities to complete tasks in a timely professional manor. Reinforces and models agency culture in everyday interactions with staff through professionalism and respectful communication. Assures compliance with all local, state and Federal laws and regulations governing agency activities and safety practices.

Appropriately manages multi-agency incoming calls while :ensuring privacy
directing calls to appropriate parties whilemaintaining clear communication and positive experience.Serve as initial contact with patients / families, community and Care Partners.Build relationships with patients, caregivers, community and care partners through phone and direct contact.Oversee the day-to-day functions of the front office.Provide assistance to care team and administrative staff.Support the Care Teams with daily medical record activities that include but are not limited to :Faxing, coping, scanning and uploading medical recordsOversee pre-printed orders, Hospice Rx and verbal ordersEnsure ICH Staff have timely access to medical recordsProvide the initial distribution of the mail after updating daily loggingDemonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication standards to advance cooperative working relationships with staff, management and care partners.Coordinate communication between care team members, medical community, care partners and patients / caregivers through medical software, phone and direct communication.Update medical software to accurately reflect patient status.Ensure effective use of resources.Ensure implementation of strategic goalsParticipate in agency success by ensuring access to our exceptional care.Support and promote agency mission to lead by providing exceptional patient centered end-of-life care and grief support to anyone affected by a terminal illness.Fosters trust and understanding through thoughtful interactions that include tactful language choices, adaptive communication styles and adjusting speaking voice in all professional interactions with staff, care partners and patient / family members.Adapts to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities while working with a variety of situations, individuals, groups, and varying patient needs.Develops and uses effective systems to organize and keep track of information, requests, or progress.Encourages team unity through sharing information or expertise, working together to solve problems, and putting team success first.Thoughtfully intervenes in conflicts to improve communication, diffuse tension, and resolve problems. Requirements :
