Iowa Home Crafters is seeking a Sales and Client Services person to be responsible for managing new clients and following our sales process for new leads. As our Sales and Client Services representative you will manage new leads, collaborating in the design process, and the customer experience throughout production. In this role you will be responsible for the client relationship with Iowa Home Crafters. You will also be responsible for servicing previous Iowa Home Crafters clients. Location:
We are located in Ames, a college town of about 50,000 people, which provides plenty of social, cultural, and recreational activities. Conveniently located and an easy commute from Central Iowa.
Responsibilities and Day to Day:
- Set up meetings with new leads to discuss there needs wants and wishes. These meetings may take place in their homes, our office, or, via phone call or email. Take pictures of the home, take notes about the project, and measurements of the existing space.
- Maintain Client Services Report and prepare a sales lead form and sales tracking worksheets.
- Qualify and identify quality projects from the lead generation. If the lead doesn’t qualify, offer a referral to a better suited contractor.
- Set up and maintain qualified leads into our database and share drive folder template, with all relevant information.
- Timely follow up from prospective and previous Iowa Home Crafters clients.
- Prepare a design agreement or remodeling agreement, with an estimate, and concepts for the project. This includes a scope document and site assessment.
- Review the agreement and estimate with a supervisor and team members.
- Present approved agreements to the client and sign the agreement with the client. Collect deposit and file signed paperwork into designated folders.
- Coordinate the client and design team member to initiate the Design Process, outlined by Silent Rivers design team.
- Work in tandem with the designer to be the client representative. This includes design intent, budget restrictions and reasonable design timelines.
- Review final design with Project Manager to edit and send to estimating.
- Prepare a Construction Agreement document and present to the client with the designer.
- Coordinate with client and Project Manager for the construction kickoff meeting and project scheduling.
- Regular check ins with the client before and during the construction process, as outlined in the Client Services Report.
- Prepare and present Change Orders to the client and review the cost tracking as the project progresses.
- Own the financial communication for the project.
- It will be your responsibility to keep the client appraised of their budget.
- Reporting change orders and scope changes to the team.
- Coordinate with designers on changes and collect client sign offs.
- Final walkthrough with the Project Manager upon substantial completion. Deliver the warranty packet and gift.
- Arrange photos and testimonials, as well as check ins at 6, 12 and 24 months. Setup these check ins as reminders in BuilderTrend.
- Regular communication with supervisory team on status of projects and leads.
- Maintain client relationships and prospect for new Iowa Home Crafters clients. Developing return business and a circle of influence is best achieved by impeccable customer service.
- Work with management team for continuous improvement of processes and reporting.
- Represent Iowa Home Crafters at marketing events, which may occasionally be outside of normal business hours and on weekends.
- Perform special assignments as required by the management team.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Self-motivated to accomplish sales goals and customer satisfaction.
- Proven experience as a sales representative.
- Cares about service and is attentive to Iowa Home Crafters clients.
- Prefer a background or experience with the construction, real estate, or trades industries
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and outstanding interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.

Pay & Benefits:
- Full time 40 hours per week
