Overview
Todco, an Iowa Plains Signing, Inc. company, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to join our team. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in dynamic environments.
Duties
- Set-up / pickup traffic control devices for City of Omaha, M.U.D., and various rentals.
- Work irregular, long hours; some weekend work will be required to accommodate specific projects.
- Operate a motor vehicle in a sage and courteous manner in all types of conditions.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles by implementing appropriate traffic management strategies.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and pedestrians using hand signals and verbal instructions.
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures as necessary to maintain smooth operations.
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding potential hazards or changes in traffic patterns.
- On call rotation is a must.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Vision / color perception.
- Standing 5 hours.
- Driving 5 hours.
- Lifting and carrying up to 90lbs.
- Mount / dismount trucks and forklift.
- Listen, have clear speech, and have face to face verbal contact with others.
- Able to push, pull, bend, and lift arms over head.
- Work indoors and outdoors in extreme cold and extreme heat.
- Ability to work independent with integrity.
