Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Lead to oversee the daily operations of our powder coating facility. The Production Lead will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the production line, supervising the production team, and ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, powder coating processes, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, production goals, and quality standards.
- Provide training, guidance, and development opportunities for team members.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed on time.
- Production Oversight:
- Oversee the entire powder coating process, from preparation and application to curing, ensuring optimal performance.
- Monitor equipment and materials usage to ensure quality production and minimal waste.
- Maintain production schedules and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of finished products.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all products meet customer and industry specifications, including finish quality, coating thickness, and adhesion.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure product quality and adherence to safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot issues in the powder coating process and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure all activities comply with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Assist with facility maintenance and upkeep to keep the production area clean and safe.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously monitor production efficiency and suggest process improvements.
- Work with engineering and maintenance teams to identify areas for improvement in equipment and operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 yeas of experience in a powder coating environment.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of powder coating techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a factory setting with exposure to heat and noise.
